National Domestic Violence Awareness Month is an annual designation observed in October. For many, home is a place of love, warmth, and comfort. It’s somewhere that you know you will be surrounded by care and support, and a nice little break from the busyness of the real world. But for millions of others, home is anything but a sanctuary. The U.S. Department of Justice estimates that 1.3 million women and 835,000 men are victims of physical violence by a partner every year.

SafeNest and Allstate are partnering this month to promote financial empowerment to victims of domestic violence. Research shows that financial abuse occurs in 99% of domestic violence cases and is often cited as the main reason a victim stays with or returns to an abusive partner. Join us in this important cause and DONATE NOW. Your support moves victims from crisis to confidence.

SafeNest’s annual fundraiser event Spring High Tea honors local domestic abuse survivors and brings influencers together for a common goal to end domestic violence in Nevada. All are invited to don their best party attire and mix and mingle over afternoon tea and champagne.

We are honored to be the recipient of your event donations. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us to protect, prevent and empower victims of domestic violence. Please email: lcod@safenest.org
